The tour explores the role of buffoonery and eccentricity in Russian history from the 10th through early 20th centuries. The King and the Jester tour will be offered by the Doll Museum at 2 p.m. Those wishing to find out more about the Farm's inhabitants are invited to join one of the tours starting by VDNH entrance at 2 p.m. Thirty-minute Hero of a Child's Dream DJ sets featuring Matroskin the Cat will be playing by the cattle barn at Noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., visitors will be asked to help a theatrical character collect all he needs for the performance and make it there on time. In the quest game The Scatterbrain Actor, starting at 1 p.m. Kids will learn to make finger puppets, design their own puppet for the shadow play theatre and see their dolls perform on-stage. The original Finger Puppet and Shadow Play DIY workshops will be offered in the greenhouse from 11 a.m.

Admission is free when you sign up by dialling the call centre at +7(499)677-77-77.Ĭity Farm has declared this coming weekend to be Theatre Days on its premises. The thirty-minute show will play twice daily, at 11 a.m.

While watching the play, the young spectators get to interact with a variety of marine creatures in game form and become aware of the pollution threat to the World Ocean. The children find themselves in a fabulous submarine world where they contribute to the effort of liberating the pearls from sludge and grime, give directions to a baby dolphin who lost his way and help an octopus out of the undersea gorge where he got trapped. The Moskvarium's new baby theatre will be premiering its programme at the Lectorium on Saturday and Sunday with the interactive play Sea Voyage, staged by the centre's staff specially for World Theatre Day. On 27 and 28 March, the Oceanography and Marine Biology Centre at VDNH's Moskvarium will be offering a selection of free activities for young visitors up to the age of five. The Moskvarium, City Farm and Doll Museum have prepared a two-day itinerary of events to celebrate Theatre Day on 27 and 28 March. For those unable to attend the event in person, it will stream on the Facebook pages of VDNH and ROSIZO at 6 p.m.

Admission is free, no registration required. Documentary footage and photographs will be used in the programme. Short Shot Fest founder Nikita Chisnikov will reflect on the lesser known episodes from the legendary actor's life, Mironov's relationship with his mother and his numerous female fans.

The roles he played on the stage of the Theatre of Satire are seen to this day as some of the brightest moments in the history of Russian theatre. This time the programme is devoted to Soviet theatre and film actor and variety artist Andrey Mironov.

Visitors will be offered free tours, quest adventures, master classes, the premiere of an interactive play as well as a television programme and documentary about theatre legends.Ī special edition of project Dialogues under the Dome, a series of programmes about film and theatre organised by VDNH, ROSIZO State Museum and Exhibition Centre, and the Short Shot Fest short film festival, awaits viewers in the cosy café of the Books Pavilion at 4 p.m.

Most events will be happening on World Theatre Day proper, 27 March, but there will be activities on other days also. The occasion will be marked with special events at the Moskvarium, Doll Museum, Books Pavilion, Film Museum and City Farm. 1 Exhibition invites everyone to join it in the celebration of World Theatre Day.
